This kit is expensive simply because it is for both the performer and thunder avs carbs. the instructions need to be a little bit clearer and the images enlarged. other than that this kit is easy to use because everything is bagged up together so you get about 10 bags from this kit.
Meets ExpectationsAugust 12, 2008 BigD(Wichita, KS. U.S.A.) Kit is Edelbrock brand so everything fits my carb, which is a modified Weber. The only thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars is the price, $45 with S&H seems like a lot for a handfull of gaskets, o-rings and clips.
Edelbrock Rebuid kitFebruary 15, 2010 Michael P. Gruhlke(TN) From my experience rebuilding my edelbrock carb with the rebuild kit I find it easier & cheaper to just buy a new carb. My reasons is that after the rebuild I found that I needed a new accelerator pump, then I needed new squirters, then I needed new jets. Its just cheaper to buy a new carb after all that stuff ( after you consider tuning & adjusting the carb & shipping costs ). That's my 2 cents !!!
